Duties

• Advise clients on legal rights and case strategy

• Draft legal documents and motions

• Represent clients at pretrial hearings, court appearances, and trials

• Conduct legal research and analyze case law for strategic development

• Interview witnesses and gather expert testimony

• Manage an individual caseload while collaborating with attorneys and support staff

• Evaluate evidence and potential case outcomes based on precedent

• Prepare clients for depositions and negotiate plea deals when appropriate

• Communicate regularly with clients, providing case updates and strategic recommendations

Requirements

• Proven experience handling criminal defense matters at the local, state, and federal levels

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and case management experience

• Commitment to high-quality legal service and client advocacy

• Excellent interpersonal communication with clients and colleagues

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
