A law firm in Berwyn, PA, seeks a skilled and dedicated Privacy and Cyber Litigation Associate to join its dynamic team. This role is ideal for professionals with 2 to 5 years of litigation experience, specifically in privacy and cyber law. The successful candidate will handle complex legal matters, manage client relationships and case workflows, and contribute to the firm's continued success in this specialized field.

Duties:

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day activities of assigned cases.
  • Lead investigations into relevant facts, gather evidence, and build strong cases.
  • Research legal issues about privacy and cyber litigation and develop comprehensive strategies.
  • Draft legal documents, such as motions, answers, and briefs, including motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment.
  • Take and defend depositions, ensuring thorough and strategic questioning.
  • Negotiate with opposing counsel to reach favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Collaborate with team members and assist with larger projects when necessary.
  • Maintain and nurture strong relationships with clients and provide guidance on case progress and strategy.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of substantial litigation experience, particularly in privacy or cyber-related matters.
  • Proven ability to manage various cases and handle complex legal issues with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with fact investigation, legal research, and drafting of key litigation documents.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and communicate with opposing counsel and clients.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • In good standing with the bar in the state of practice.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state bar where the position is based.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research and case management tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) or other privacy-related statutes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with privacy regulations and cyber litigation matters is highly desirable.
