Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC, seeks a Corporate Investment Funds Regulatory Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of relevant asset management regulatory experience. The ideal candidate should possess a strong working knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940, with experience in private equity and hedge fund formation being advantageous.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support on matters related to asset management regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
  • Assist in the structuring, formation, and ongoing compliance of private equity and hedge funds.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including fund formation documents, regulatory filings, and contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to address legal issues and provide strategic guidance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant asset management regulatory experience.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Washington, DC Bar, or eligibility to waive in.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940.
  • Experience in private equity and hedge fund formation is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Washington, DC Bar, or eligibility to waive in.

Skills:
