A law firm is seeking an I.P. Life Sciences Technology Transactions Associate Attorney for their Seattle, WA office.

Job Overview:

The candidate will play a vital role in representing biotechs and big pharmas in licensing patents and collaborating to advance novel therapeutics, vaccines, diagnostic, and digital health technologies. They will work closely with founders developing cutting-edge technologies, negotiating complex standalone commercial transactions, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Duties:

  • Represent biotech and pharmaceutical clients in licensing and collaboration transactions.
  • Advise clients on intellectual property matters related to life sciences and technology.
  • Negotiate agreements to advance novel therapeutics, vaccines, diagnostic, and digital health technologies.
  • Provide legal support for clinical trials and regulatory approval processes.
  • Collaborate with founders to develop strategies for technology transformation.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in licensing/collaboration and commercial partnering transactions.
  • Substantial law firm experience representing biotechs and big pharmas.
  • Superior academic credentials.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Admission to the WA Bar or eligibility to waive in or take the next available WA Bar exam.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the WA Bar or eligibility to waive in or take the next available WA Bar exam.

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Deep understanding of intellectual property law.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulatory processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
