Mid-Level Insurance Coverage & Litigation Associate

Duties:

• Handle a diverse caseload involving first and third-party insurance coverage disputes
• Litigate complex matters including bad faith, professional liability, construction defect, personal and advertising injury, cyber, and excess liability
• Draft pleadings, motions, and participate in discovery processes
• Represent insurers in court, administrative proceedings, and mediations
• Conduct legal research and provide counsel on insurance coverage matters
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop legal strategies and case management
• Engage in client communication to discuss case status and strategy
• Maintain knowledge of emerging insurance laws and industry practices

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance coverage and litigation
• Proven background in first and/or third-party coverage litigation
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases
• Excellent communication and client management skills
• Ability to collaborate with legal teams and support staff

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Illinois Bar required
