The ideal candidate will have strong civil litigation experience and will handle a mix of securities/FINRA, commercial litigation, directors and officers (D&O) matters, and professional liability cases. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload that includes securities and FINRA-related disputes, commercial litigation, and professional liability matters, providing strategic legal representation.
  • Represent clients in civil litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing motions, and engaging in settlement negotiations or trial proceedings.
  • Handle D&O liability cases, offering counsel to directors and officers in claims related to breaches of duty or corporate governance issues.
  • Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, and prepare briefs on complex litigation matters.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on high-stakes litigation and arbitration cases, working as part of a team to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Maintain a minimum of 1,900 billable hours annually, with the opportunity to earn additional compensation for exceeding this target.
  • Participate in client meetings, depositions, and court appearances, effectively communicating with clients to ensure they are informed throughout the litigation process.
  • Balance in-office and remote work through a hybrid schedule, ensuring collaboration with the firm while maintaining flexibility.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 1 to 5 years of civil litigation experience is required.
  • Experience with securities/FINRA, D&O liability, commercial litigation, or professional liability is preferred.
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of Colorado and in good standing.
  • Proven ability to handle a diverse caseload and manage cases from inception through resolution.
  • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills, with the ability to draft effective legal documents and argue motions persuasively.

Educational Background:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Colorado State Bar.

Certifications:

  • Ongoing Continuing Legal Education (CLE), particularly in areas related to securities law, litigation, or professional liability, is preferred but not required.
