A law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney specializing in personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of client representation, from initial meetings through trial. This role requires a seasoned attorney with a strong background in personal injury law, excellent client interaction skills, and the ability to maintain an aggressive stance on behalf of clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients to assess their cases and provide expert legal advice.
  • Perform comprehensive motion work, including drafting, filing, and arguing motions in court.
  • Conduct thorough discovery processes, including the gathering and analysis of evidence, and managing document production.
  • Take and defend depositions, ensuring thorough preparation and effective questioning.
  • Represent clients in mediations, working to achieve favorable settlements while avoiding unnecessary trials.
  • Maintain a high level of aggression and determination in advocating for clients’ rights and interests.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court, providing clear updates and explanations.
  • Utilize strong negotiation skills to secure the best possible outcomes for clients, both in and out of court.
  • Prepare cases for trial, including developing trial strategies, preparing witnesses, and delivering compelling arguments in court.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met and client needs are addressed.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA).
  • Active State Bar certification in Texas.
  • 5+ years of experience in personal injury litigation (10+ years preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Proven trial skills, with a history of successful outcomes in personal injury cases.
  • Stellar client interface skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of aggression in advocating for clients’ rights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to handle a high-volume caseload.

Education & Certifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active State Bar certification in Texas.

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
