Criminal Defense Attorney

A law firm in Clifton is seeking a Criminal Defense Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience in criminal defense. The ideal candidate should be technologically proficient, and it would be very helpful to have Spanish language skills. This role involves representing clients in criminal cases and providing legal counsel throughout the legal process.

Duties:

• Represent clients in criminal cases, including misdemeanors and felonies.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to build a strong defense strategy.
• Prepare and file legal documents, motions, and briefs.
• Negotiate plea bargains and settlements with prosecutors.
• Advocate for clients in court hearings and trials.
• Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients throughout the legal process.
• Stay updated on changes in criminal law and legal precedents.
• Utilize technology for case management and communication.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in the state of New Jersey.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in criminal defense.

Education and Certifications:
