Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a Regulatory & Compliance Associate with 2-3 years of experience to join its team, focusing on banking, financial services, payment processors, fintech, data privacy, and related compliance matters. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting regulatory practices, particularly in fintech, payment systems, and privacy, with a preference for those familiar with drafting commercial contracts and knowledge of healthcare or environmental regulations.

Location:

Duties:

  • Advise clients on regulatory and compliance matters related to banking, financial services, fintech, data privacy, and anti-money laundering.
  • Draft and review commercial contracts related to regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Support regulatory practices, including Payment Systems & Fintech and Privacy & Cybersecurity.
  • Provide legal counsel on matters such as money transmission, data privacy, and security compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on regulatory compliance and risk management.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of regulatory and compliance experience in a law firm, with a focus on banking, fintech, payment processors, data privacy, and anti-money laundering.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts is preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare or environmental regulations is a plus.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction(s).

Skills:

  • Expertise in regulatory compliance, fintech, and privacy matters.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills for commercial contracts.
