Duties:

• Advise clients on immigration law matters, providing strategic and creative solutions
• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals, both for detained and non-detained individuals
• Manage a full caseload, ensuring timely progression of cases and client satisfaction
• Conduct intake interviews with detained clients at immigration detention centers
• Prepare and file a wide array of immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions
• Review and revise immigration applications, ensuring compliance and accuracy
• Collaborate with law enforcement, government agencies, and community organizations on immigration matters
• Conduct client consultations, devising tailored immigration strategies based on individual needs
• Assist clients and witnesses in preparing for court hearings and USCIS testimony
• Draft and submit legal briefs in support of various immigration cases

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of experience in Immigration Law
• Ability to handle a high volume of cases efficiently
• Experience in Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian Relief, EOIR, Detained Cases, Citizenship, and USCIS applications
• Proven ability to move cases forward and meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Proficiency with case management software is preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the State Bar of California

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in the State of California
