Job Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload of criminal defense matters, ensuring timely and effective representation.
• Advise clients on their legal rights, potential outcomes, and case strategies.
• Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Attend pretrial hearings and court appearances on behalf of clients.
• Conduct legal research and analyze case law to assess case strengths and weaknesses.
• Interview witnesses and gather evidence to support client defenses.
• Provide detailed legal analysis to clients, evaluating potential case benefits and risks.
• Prepare clients for depositions and trial proceedings, outlining case strategies and objectives.
• Collaborate with colleagues and legal support staff on case management and strategy development.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California (active and in good standing).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing criminal defense law.
• Proven track record handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.
• Strong courtroom presence and exceptional litigation skills.
• Ability to manage workload effectively and prioritize tasks.
• Team player with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred.
