A law firm in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a Bankruptcy and Restructuring Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. This role involves working closely with both the Philadelphia and Delaware bankruptcy attorneys, representing a diverse clientele including financial institutions, landlords, equipment lessors, creditors’ committees, indenture trustees, and debtors in cases both regionally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with partners and associates on bankruptcy and restructuring cases.
  • Represent clients in commercial and consumer bankruptcy, reorganization, workouts, collections, and foreclosures.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Participate in depositions, mediations, and court proceedings.
  • Develop and implement case strategies, providing comprehensive legal advice to clients.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met and documentation is thorough and accurate.
  • Stay current with changes in bankruptcy laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Active Pennsylvania Bar license (candidate will work with both Philadelphia and Delaware bankruptcy attorneys).
  • 3-6 years of experience in commercial litigation, commercial and consumer bankruptcy, reorganization, workouts, collections, and foreclosures.
  • Strong litigation skills and the ability to handle a high volume of cases.
  • Proactive, self-starter with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Commitment to producing thorough and excellent work products.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
