Job Title: Healthcare Regulatory Attorney

Job Overview: A leading law firm is seeking a skilled Healthcare Regulatory Attorney to advise on complex regulatory matters within the healthcare industry. This role involves working with a variety of healthcare providers, specialty practices, and professionals to ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare laws. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the healthcare regulatory landscape and provide strategic counsel to navigate legal challenges.

Duties:

  • Offer in-depth regulatory counsel to healthcare providers, professionals, and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare laws, including HIPAA, Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
  • Advise clients on regulatory matters, risk management, and compliance audits.
  • Collaborate with internal legal teams on multidisciplinary cases.
  • Handle healthcare transactions, compliance investigations, and interactions with regulatory bodies such as HHS, CMS, and state healthcare agencies.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in healthcare regulatory law.
  • Proven expertise in healthcare laws, including HIPAA, Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
  • Familiarity with handling healthcare transactions, compliance audits, and investigations.
  • Experience working with healthcare providers and specialty practices.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in New York.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage complex legal cases and provide strategic advice.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as HHS, CMS, and state healthcare agencies.
