A law firm seeks a Transactional Franchise & Distribution Associate Attorney to join its practice in Minneapolis, MN. This position is well-suited for an attorney with experience in U.S. franchising regulations, possessing the expertise to draft franchise agreements and handle regulatory filings. The role provides an opportunity to advise clients on complex transactions within the franchise sector, both domestically and internationally.

Duties:

  • Draft and review franchise agreements, franchise disclosure documents, and other regulatory filings.
  • Advise clients on intricate business transactions related to franchise and distribution matters.
  • Provide counsel to domestic and international clients on franchising compliance and regulatory obligations.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys on transactional and litigation matters in franchise law.
  • Serve a diverse client base, including emerging franchisors, established franchise corporations, private equity firms, and international businesses expanding into the U.S. market.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in transactional franchise law.
  • Proficient knowledge of U.S. franchise regulations and compliance standards.
  • Admission to practice law in Minnesota, or eligibility for admission via waiver.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Minnesota State Bar or eligibility for admission.
