Senior Immigration Attorney

A law firm in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, is seeking an experienced Senior Immigration Attorney to join its team. Reporting to the Managing Immigration Attorney, the candidate will manage a caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with the Immigration Team of Attorneys and legal assistants. The role requires expertise in immigration law, strategic thinking, and strong client communication skills.

Duties:

• Explain immigration concepts and provide strategic solutions to clients.
• Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Manage a workload of diverse immigration cases.
• Visit and conduct intakes with detained individuals at centers.
• Prepare various immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.
• Review and adjust immigration applications/packets as necessary.
• Present to and collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on changes in immigration law.
• Conduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clients and determine necessary strategies.
• Develop strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.
• Provide legal analysis for clients to determine potential case benefits.
• Prepare and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases.

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of Immigration Law Experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Record of moving legal cases forward and managing a caseload.
• Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
• Experience with Case Management Software is preferred.

Education:

Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active Bar admission.
