The firm specializes in a wide range of immigration matters, including removal defense, family-based immigration, humanitarian applications, criminal immigration, and federal litigation. This position offers a partnership track for attorneys looking to advance their legal careers.

Location:

  • Silver Spring, MD

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients on immigration matters.
  • Prepare and file petitions, applications, and supporting documents with USCIS, DOS, EOIR, and other government agencies.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis of immigration laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Stay updated on immigration policy changes and ensure compliance for clients.
  • Handle a significant caseload, managing cases efficiently and meeting completion metrics.
  • Conduct consultations with potential clients.
  • Work collaboratively with other attorneys and staff to deliver effective legal services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Lead and work within a team setting.

Requirements:

  • Active bar membership in good standing (any U.S. state).
  • Strong knowledge of immigration law.
  • Ability to practice before immigration courts and USCIS.
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of immigration law experience, particularly in removal defense.
  • At least 3 years of experience drafting legal documents.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
