Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking a Corporate Associate Attorney to join its growing corporate practice group in Omaha. The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of experience in transactional law, particularly in estate planning, probate and trust administration, and business counseling. The successful attorney will provide legal counsel to closely-held businesses on various corporate matters, including commercial transactions, corporate governance, and succession planning. Location:

Duties:

  • Provide legal services in estate planning, including tax planning.
  • Assist with probate and trust administration matters.
  • Represent closely-held businesses on corporate governance, commercial transactions, and succession planning.
  • Draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and corporate governance documents.
  • Negotiate and manage business transactions and agreements.
  • Build and maintain client relationships while providing ongoing legal counsel.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in transactional law, particularly in corporate law.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state Bar (in good standing).

  • Strong knowledge of corporate law principles, estate planning, and business transactions.
  • Ability to manage corporate governance and commercial transactions.
