Job Title: First-Party Coverage Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm, located in San Francisco, CA, is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled First-Party Coverage Attorney. This position offers the opportunity to support a national and international first-party coverage practice. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation and bad faith, with strong legal research, writing, and case management abilities.

Duties:

• Handle insurance coverage litigation and bad faith matters for clients.
• Manage cases in both state and federal courts, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Take and defend depositions, attend court appearances, and manage trial preparations.
• Provide legal guidance and expertise to clients regarding insurance coverage disputes.
• Work collaboratively with associates, partners, and clients on complex cases.
• Participate in business development activities to expand the practice.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation and bad faith.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent research and writing skills.
• Practical case management experience, with exposure to both state and federal courts.
• Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing; additional state bar admissions are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage litigation from start to finish, including trial experience.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar (additional state bar memberships are a plus).
