This position involves representing policyholders in various aspects of the insurance recovery process, including policy analysis, claim presentation, and litigation. Duties

• Represent policyholders in insurance coverage disputes, including litigation and arbitration.

• Analyze insurance policies and assess claims based on policy language and facts.

• Provide strategic advice to clients on claim presentation and resolution.

• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.

• Conduct depositions, hearings, and court proceedings.

• Manage multiple cases and serve as a lead associate on litigation matters.

• Engage in mediation and settlement negotiations.

• Ensure compliance with federal and state court procedures and e-discovery protocols.

• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas and offices.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in complex litigation and/or arbitration.

• Strong research, writing, analytical, and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with federal and state court rules.

• Ability to handle multiple cases and serve as a lead associate on litigation matters.

• Motion practice, deposition, and courtroom experience are required.

• Experience representing policyholders in insurance coverage matters is a plus.

• Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.

• Knowledge of insurance law preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

• Strong academic credentials.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois or eligible for admission.
