This role focuses on guiding cross-border and global employment matters, including corporate transactions, employee agreements, and workforce restructuring. The position involves collaboration with international offices and emerging businesses, requiring adaptability and strong analytical skills.

Duties

  • Conduct employment-related due diligence and provide counsel on employment aspects of corporate transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and related agreements.
  • Advise on employee terminations, workforce reductions, and compliance with global employment regulations.
  • Develop and enforce restrictive covenants and counsel on employee mobility.
  • Provide legal guidance to emerging companies on employment policies and best practices.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international employment laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with legal teams across different jurisdictions to address employment law matters effectively.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment counseling (domestic and/or international).
  • Prior experience with a top-tier law firm is preferred.
  • Ability to handle complex employment issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic problem-solving abilities.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of California.
