Duties:

• Take and defend depositions in civil litigation cases.
• Attend court appearances and manage ongoing litigation matters.
• Represent clients in mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Draft and oppose motions related to civil litigation cases.
• Collaborate with the team to develop case strategies and defense plans.
• Communicate with clients and provide updates on case status.
• Manage time effectively, ensuring billable hours are met.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior associates or legal assistants.

Requirements:

• Experience in civil litigation on the defense side.
• Proven experience in taking and defending depositions, attending court hearings, and representing clients in mediations.
• Strong analytical and writing skills.
• Ability to draft and oppose motions effectively.
• Experience in billing time and managing client matters.
• Active membership in the California State Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
