Job Title: Senior Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm located in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with a passion for tenant rights and social justice. This role involves managing cases on behalf of residential tenants involved in wrongful eviction lawsuits, working with a dedicated team in a collaborative environment, and advocating for those in need of legal representation. Duties:

  • Handle a caseload from inception to resolution, managing all aspects of litigation.
  • Take and defend depositions, ensuring all legal matters are properly handled.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings with attention to detail.
  • Manage law and motion work, preparing documents and motions for court submissions.
  • Collaborate with trial preparation and assume first-chair responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

  • California Bar Membership: Must be in good standing.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, particularly in depositions, law and motion, and case management within California.
  • Experience with landlord/tenant law or plaintiff-side litigation is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal, legal writing, and analytical abilities. High attention to detail and organization.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active California Bar license in good standing.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to independently manage cases and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Organizational skills to manage a busy caseload.
