A law firm seeks a Registered Funds Associate with 3 to 6 years of experience in working with registered investment companies to join its esteemed Financial Services group. This team is recognized as a leading advisor to various financial service entities, asset managers, and investment funds, representing a diverse clientele from emerging start-ups to major financial institutions.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on matters related to registered investment companies, including compliance with the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act.
  • Assist clients in navigating regulations concerning exchange-traded funds, variable insurance products, and business development companies.
  • Collaborate with financial services firms and investment funds to develop innovative solutions and strategies.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support clients’ needs and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in the field of registered investment companies.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act.
  • Experience with exchange-traded funds, variable insurance products, business development companies, investment advisers, and/or commodities is advantageous.
  • Experience at a large law firm, in-house, or with a regulatory agency is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in good standing for the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and research capabilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, facilitating clear interaction with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
