Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
An established, multi-state law firm with a focus on creditors' rights, real estate, and related practice areas is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its growing Missouri team. This position offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where the attorney will be responsible for handling a range of legal matters, including creditor rights, foreclosure, and bankruptcy-related issues. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, participate in court proceedings, and contribute to the firm’s continued growth and success.

Duties:

  • Manage a significant caseload in the field of creditor’s rights, including foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections.
  • Represent clients in both state and federal courts, including depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Provide legal guidance in discovery practice, conflict resolution, and settlement negotiations.
  • Support appellate proceedings and handle legal research related to TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and Bankruptcy Code issues.
  • Assist in the development of the firm's presence and reputation within the legal community.
  • Foster strong client relationships and maintain effective communication with all parties.
  • Contribute to team efforts and collaborate with other attorneys and staff to meet client needs.
  • Occasional travel for court appearances and client meetings may be required.

Requirements:

  • Active membership in the Missouri Bar, with the ability to practice in Missouri federal district and bankruptcy courts.
  • At least 5 years of litigation experience, particularly in creditor’s rights and real estate law (newly licensed attorneys will also be considered).
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a focus on team collaboration.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal issues and provide sound judgment.
  • Knowledge and experience with the Arkansas legal system is beneficial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate legal concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to proactively build relationships within the legal community and among clients.
  • Courtroom experience required, with a willingness to represent clients at hearings and trials.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Missouri State Bar (additional Bar licenses are a plus).
