This is a fantastic opportunity for attorneys with 2 to 7 years of experience in civil litigation. The firm specializes in defending both large corporations and small businesses in various areas, including premises liability, construction defect, wrongful death, and property cases.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation cases, primarily in defense, focusing on premises liability, construction defects, wrongful death, and property matters.
  • Manage and oversee cases from initial filing through trial, including case strategy, discovery, and motion practice.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and experts.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and support staff to ensure client objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal trends and case law relevant to areas of practice.

Requirements:

  • 2-7 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on defense.
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures and defense strategies.
  • Experience in handling a variety of case types, including premises liability, construction defect, wrongful death, and property cases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar.
