Job Overview: A prominent law firm located in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Global Equity Compensation and Employment Associate or Managing Associate with 3-5 years of experience. This role is pivotal within the Global Employment, Equity Compensation, and Immigration practice, focusing on advising clients on complex equity compensation and employment matters. The ideal candidate will engage with a diverse clientele, from large multinational corporations to emerging companies, ensuring compliance and providing strategic guidance in a dynamic legal landscape.

Duties:

• Counsel clients on a range of equity compensation and employment issues, including stock options (SO), restricted stock units (RSU), and employee stock purchase plans (ESPP).
• Oversee compliance with securities and foreign exchange filings related to SO, RSU, and ESPP programs.
• Manage matters involving leaves of absence, accommodations, return-to-office protocols, independent contractor classifications, and employment agreements.
• Prepare multi-country analyses and draft employment-related documents.
• Conduct multijurisdictional research and collaborate with global teams to deliver comprehensive analysis to clients.
• Work on employment agreements, handbooks, bonus plans, and due diligence for global M&A transactions, particularly in the fast-growth and technology sectors.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in employee equity compensation or employment counseling, with a preference for cross-border experience.
• Strong academic credentials and exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Admission to the Washington State Bar is mandatory.
• Direct experience with duties outlined in this posting is highly valued.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• An active member of the Washington State Bar Association.
