A law firm in Greensboro is seeking a dedicated and experienced Personal Injury Attorney to represent clients at all stages of their personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for client interaction, case evaluation, legal research, and litigation. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the interests of clients throughout all stages of their personal injury cases, including in-person meetings, phone consultations, and court appearances.
  • Review, analyze, and interpret medical evidence, investigative reports, legal documents, statutes, and case law.
  • Develop strategies and build legal arguments in preparation for case presentation.
  • Engage in legal writing and research for motions, briefs, responses, and appeals.
  • Litigate claims during all phases, including discovery, depositions, mediation, negotiations, hearings, and trials.
  • Identify and investigate insurance coverage options to maximize recovery for clients.
  • Provide trial advocacy, including examining lay and expert witnesses, and presenting evidence and arguments in court.
  • Supervise and collaborate with the personal injury team to ensure efficient case management.
  • Manage client communication throughout the litigation process to ensure a clear understanding of the case's progression.
  • Maintain and organize case files, adhering to deadlines and prioritizing case-related tasks.

Requirements:

  • Member in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar, or the ability to waive into the state.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in personal injury law, including pre-litigation and litigation.
  • Litigation experience is preferred.
  • Experience building relationships with clients and handling all aspects of client communication.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to evaluate cases, identify issues, and create effective litigation strategies.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced workload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • A positive attitude with a proactive, can-do mindset.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar (or eligibility for waiver).
