Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Sherman Oaks is seeking a dynamic Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The role involves representing management in a variety of employment litigation matters, providing counsel on employment contracts, and advocating for clients in legal proceedings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent management in employment litigation cases, including discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour disputes.
• Advise clients on employment law compliance, contracts, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex employment issues.
• Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs.
• Attend and handle depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials as needed.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
• Provide timely and detailed reporting to clients and partners.

Requirements:

• 1-10 years of experience in employment litigation, preferably with defense-side experience.
• Strong experience drafting legal documents including briefs, motions, and discovery requests.
• Familiarity with pre-litigation and second-chair trial experience.
• Admission to the California State Bar in good standing is required.
• Experience with insurance defense litigation is considered advantageous.
