Automobile and Premises Liability Defense Attorney

A law firm seeks a talented and experienced Automobile and Premises Liability Defense Attorney for its New York City office. This role provides an opportunity for a skilled attorney with 4 to 10 years of experience in defending automobile and premises liability claims. Duties:

• Handle automobile and premises liability defense cases, including representation in pre-litigation, litigation, and settlement negotiations.
• Provide legal counsel and devise case strategies to effectively defend clients.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and trials, where necessary.
• Manage case files, keeping track of deadlines, filings, and other critical tasks.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and advising on case progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive and efficient legal services.

Requirements:

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• 4 to 10 years of experience in defending automobile and premises liability cases.
• Proven ability to work independently, handle a caseload, and meet deadlines.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Solid understanding of New York State laws regarding automobile and premises liability.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and contribute to overall case strategy.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage complex legal matters.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active New York State Bar license in good standing.
