Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented eDiscovery Attorney to join its eDiscovery and Information Management group. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and will be comfortable managing complex litigation matters. This is a non-partnership track role with responsibilities focused on the coordination, execution, and management of eDiscovery projects. Candidates must be able to work effectively under pressure, multitask, and communicate clearly with internal teams, clients, and third parties.

Location:

  • Seattle, WA

Duties:

  • Manage eDiscovery work for complex litigation matters.
  • Supervise and coordinate project execution to meet timelines, budgets, and standards.
  • Draft and negotiate discovery-related protocols, orders, and agreements.
  • Serve as the point of contact for the case team and clients regarding eDiscovery project execution and status.
  • Coordinate with case teams, clients, and vendors on data identification and collection.
  • Create accurate budgets and monthly revenue forecasts for review projects.
  • Oversee document review workflows and ensure quality control (QC) processes are followed.
  • Manage preparation and production of document productions.
  • Provide guidance and training to review attorneys to improve work product and performance.
  • Foster a positive team environment and contribute to maintaining a collaborative culture.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in eDiscovery, whether in-house, at a law firm, or within government agencies.
  • Admission to practice in the jurisdiction where applying.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple eDiscovery projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and research skills.
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and business judgment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or LL.M. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Good judgment, leadership abilities, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
