A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team in Houston, specializing in employment law, civil rights litigation, and general litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have 3-10 years of experience in litigation, with a preference for individuals with specific expertise in employment and civil rights law. Duties:

  • Represent clients in employment, civil rights, and general litigation cases.
  • Conduct legal research to support case development and litigation strategy.
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
  • Manage client relationships and provide ongoing legal advice throughout the litigation process.
  • Prepare and argue motions in court, and participate in hearings and depositions.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and trial preparations.
  • Negotiate settlements and assist in case resolution efforts.
  • Maintain an organized caseload and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Requirements:

  • 3-10 years of general litigation experience.
  • Prior experience in employment litigation and/or civil rights litigation preferred.
  • Strong academic background, with exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with senior attorneys.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a commitment to professional growth.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas (or eligible for admission by reciprocity).
