Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an Immigration Attorney to join their team in Denver, CO. Location:

  • Denver, CO

Duties:

  • Strategize and develop case strategies to effectively represent clients.
  • Meet with clients, investigate histories, and collaborate with senior attorneys.
  • Represent clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) in cases involving victim-, family-, and asylee/refugee-based relief.
  • Advocate for clients before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) and Circuit Courts on novel legal issues.
  • Prepare persuasive briefs to support client applications.
  • Supervise and guide paralegals in line with case strategies.
  • Prepare clients for interviews, hearings, and appointments, utilizing strategic insights.
  • Participate in legal and advocacy conferences, and lead CLE and internal presentations.

Requirements:

  • Spanish language skills (conversational preferred; training provided if needed).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team, including attorneys, paralegals, and clients.
  • Strong commitment to civil rights and liberties.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with marginalized or vulnerable communities.
  • Cultural competence in working with diverse organizations and communities.
  • Sense of humor is highly valued.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must hold a valid Bar license to practice law in any U.S. state.

Skills:

  • Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Experience in immigration law.
  • Strong communication skills, especially with diverse populations.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
