Job Overview:
A law firm in Cleveland, OH, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of personal injury matters, representing clients in negotiations, and preparing legal documents. The role also includes leading a team of case managers and paralegals and ensuring timely and efficient case processing. The attorney will have the opportunity to take cases to trial, advocating for the best possible outcomes for clients.

Location:

  • Cleveland, OH

Duties:

  • Review and manage medical cases.
  • Negotiate and settle cases at the pre-litigation and litigation stages.
  • Review policies, claims, and other records related to cases.
  • Prepare, write, and argue legal documents, including memos, theories of liability, and demand letters.
  • Communicate with insurance companies to ensure proper management and billing of client medical treatments.
  • Provide regular updates to clients regarding the status of their cases.
  • Conduct intake meetings with new clients.
  • Manage a docket of cases in accordance with office policy.
  • Conduct and attend Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs), Examinations Under Oath (EUOs), and recorded statements.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury or litigation law.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and writing skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer and office skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through both verbal and written electronic correspondence.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Ohio Bar License in good standing.
