A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its litigation team in Fort Worth, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience in trial work, including motion practice and discovery drafting. This full-time, on-site role requires a proactive individual who enjoys client interaction, conducting legal research, and representing clients in various legal proceedings. The attorney will work alongside experienced colleagues and may occasionally provide docket coverage for other attorneys.

Duties

  • Represent clients in court, including preparing for and trying cases before a jury.
  • Draft and file motions, conduct discovery, and manage legal documentation for active cases.
  • Provide legal advice to clients regarding labor and employment matters.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and work to resolve disputes efficiently.
  • Conduct legal research and keep current on developments in labor and employment law.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys on case strategy and case management.
  • Occasionally provide docket coverage for colleagues when needed.

Requirements

  • Strong skills in motion practice, discovery, and legal research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to negotiate settlements and manage client relationships.
  • Capacity to handle a high volume of work and work under pressure in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines effectively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Texas State Bar (required).
