Duties

  • Handle employment litigation, including wage and hour, discrimination, and non-competition cases.
  • Lead responses to EEOC charges and analogous state/local agency charges.
  • Provide employment counseling and draft/review policies, including separation agreements, non-competes, and executive employment agreements.
  • Conduct employment due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Write legal memoranda, briefs, and other documents related to employment law matters.
  • Maintain a manageable caseload while working with clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Engage in business development and marketing efforts to generate new business.
  • Support senior attorneys in handling complex legal issues at a national level.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in employment law.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with employment litigation, including wage and hour, discrimination, and non-compete matters.
  • Experience in employment counseling and policy drafting.
  • Active Colorado bar license or eligibility to become admitted to the Colorado bar.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal matters with a client-oriented approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a challenging workload.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Colorado bar license or eligibility to be admitted to the Colorado bar.
