Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in employment litigation matters, primarily for employers.
  • Manage cases from inception through trial, including drafting pleadings, motions, and legal briefs.
  • Handle discovery, depositions, hearings, and trials in both state and federal courts.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop legal strategies and tactics.
  • Provide legal advice to clients on employment law matters.
  • Participate in business development and maintain client relationships.
  • Keep clients informed on case progress and legal developments.
  • Ensure that cases are managed effectively and efficiently, adhering to deadlines and billable hour targets.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in employment litigation, with a focus on non-union matters.
  • Proven success in handling litigation from start to finish, including trials in state and federal courts.
  • Strong legal writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Experience with employment law matters, including discrimination, wrongful termination, wage disputes, and workplace policies.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with other attorneys and clients.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to case management.
  • Florida Bar membership (required).
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to contribute to business development initiatives.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Florida State Bar License (required).

Skills:

  • Expertise in employment litigation (non-union).
  • Excellent legal writing and research skills.
