Litigation Attorney

A law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its team in Boston, MA. The successful candidate will handle high-value personal injury cases, working on all aspects of litigation in both state and federal courts. The role involves pre-trial preparation, motions, depositions, mediations, negotiations, and trial. Duties

• Meet with clients and file lawsuits in personal injury cases.
• Propound and respond to written discovery requests.
• Schedule and attend fact witness depositions.
• Retain and attend expert witness depositions.
• Attend all hearings, mediations, and other court proceedings.
• Prepare and try cases to verdict.
• Prepare post-trial motions and other legal documents.
• Participate in file audits, litigation attorney meetings, and trial clinics.
• Manage a large and active caseload from filing through verdict.
• Provide direction and guidance to legal staff and support personnel.
• Collaborate with other attorneys on case strategy and case management.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in Massachusetts.
• Experience as a personal injury litigator.
• Proven track record of success, including a minimum of 2 jury trials as first chair.
• Ability to handle high-volume cases and maintain organized case files.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong courtroom presence and eagerness to take cases to trial.
• Self-motivated, with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts.
