Liability Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced Liability Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office. This position is ideal for a candidate with 3-5 years of expertise in third-party liability insurance coverage defense and consulting. Duties:

• Provide expert legal counsel on third-party liability insurance coverage issues.
• Represent clients in defense matters related to insurance coverage disputes and consulting.
• Analyze policy language and determine coverage applicability for clients.
• Draft legal memoranda, opinions, and reports concerning coverage positions.
• Work closely with clients to provide risk management advice and litigation strategies.
• Assist in the preparation for and representation in arbitration and court proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to manage caseloads efficiently.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in liability insurance coverage defense and consulting.
• Strong analytical skills and an in-depth understanding of insurance policies and industry regulations.
• Proven ability to handle complex legal issues and make strategic decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting legal documents and interacting with clients.
• Illinois State Bar license required; licenses in Indiana or Wisconsin are a plus.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Illinois State Bar license required.
• Additional Bar licenses (Indiana and/or Wisconsin) are a plus.
