Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in litigation, including pretrial practice, drafting discovery requests and responses, as well as evidentiary and non-evidentiary motions/pleadings. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, motivated, and capable of independently managing a caseload.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various litigation matters.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
  • Develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Maintain communication with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar in good standing.
  • 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and rules.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
