A law firm in Phoenix is seeking a General Litigation Medical Malpractice Defense Associate Attorney with 1 year of experience. Experience in general litigation or with insurance defense and health care malpractice issues is a plus.

 

Duties:

  • Defend healthcare providers and institutions in medical malpractice cases.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and mediations.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Assist in trial preparation and participate in trials as needed.
  • Provide advice and counsel to clients on legal matters.
  • Manage case files and documentation.
  • Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on case strategy and resolution.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Arizona State Bar.
  • 1 year of legal experience.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in general litigation or with insurance defense and health care malpractice issues is a plus.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Arizona State Bar.
