Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Law Associate to join its team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in family law, including divorce, child custody, alimony, and domestic violence cases. This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work environment, with the option for remote work after initial training. The role requires strong litigation experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping clients navigate complex family law issues. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Naples, Florida, with occasional travel required for court appearances and client meetings.

Location:

  • Naples, Florida

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and domestic violence.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings and motions, and represent clients in court.
  • Provide compassionate counsel to clients throughout their legal journey.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies.
  • Work independently while maintaining strong communication and teamwork with colleagues.
  • Manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
  • Travel to in-person client meetings and court hearings as required.
  • Ensure all work is done in compliance with Florida family law and court procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in family law or 1 year of experience in civil litigation (preferred).
  • Florida Bar License required.
  • Strong litigation and courtroom experience.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team and provide client-centered support.
  • Strong technical abilities, including familiarity with judicial websites, Google products (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar), and Microsoft Word and Excel.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Florida Bar License required.

Skills:

  • Expertise in family law, including divorce, custody, and alimony matters.
  • Excellent litigation and courtroom experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases and priorities effectively.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with technology, including Google Suite and Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
