Senior Project Finance Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a highly qualified senior associate to join its Project Development & Finance Practice group in New York. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience, preferably with a focus on project development and finance gained from a large national or international law firm. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on significant projects in a collaborative environment.

Duties

• Provide legal expertise in project development and finance transactions, including structuring, negotiation, and documentation.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to navigate complex financing arrangements.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support project financing initiatives.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents related to project finance.
• Stay informed about market trends, regulations, and developments affecting the project finance sector.
• Mentor and guide junior associates and assist in their professional development.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of experience in project development and/or finance.
• Experience at a large national or international law firm is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic performance is preferred.

Certifications

• Must be licensed to practice law in NY.

Skills

• Proficient in legal research and contract analysis.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle complex transactions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for articulating complex legal concepts.
• Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating finance-related agreements effectively.
