A law firm seeks a Healthcare Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience to join its Healthcare & Insurance Division in New York. This position offers a unique opportunity to work across diverse areas of the healthcare industry, advising clients including providers, insurers, and life sciences companies. Duties:

  • Advise healthcare providers, insurers, and life sciences companies on regulatory and transactional matters.
  • Draft and review contracts, regulatory filings, and other legal documents related to healthcare law compliance.
  • Represent clients in matters involving healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid compliance, and managed care.
  • Conduct legal research on healthcare laws and regulations and apply findings to client cases.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal teams to provide comprehensive legal services to healthcare clients.
  • Develop and execute legal strategies in line with changing healthcare regulations.
  • Stay informed on healthcare regulatory developments and guide compliance and risk management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare law, whether in a law firm, regulatory agency, or healthcare industry.
  • Proven regulatory and transactional experience advising healthcare providers, insurers, or pharmaceutical/device manufacturers.
  • Experience advising on managed care plans is a plus.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and work effectively within a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in New York or the ability to waive into the jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and compliance issues.
  • Strong legal writing and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
