Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of litigation experiance

A law firm in San Diego, California, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of litigation experience to join their team. The position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for flexibility with some remote work. The attorney will be responsible for handling civil litigation matters, including providing legal advice, conducting research, managing discovery, depositions, and negotiations. Duties:

• Provide legal advice and representation to clients in civil litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft discovery, motions, and other litigation-related documents.
• Manage written discovery, take depositions, and attend court hearings.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in insurance and civil litigation cases.
• Handle day-to-day case management, including client communication and strategy development.
• Work collaboratively with other attorneys and staff, while also managing tasks independently.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance or civil litigation.
• Strong knowledge of California Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Experience with written discovery, depositions, and case negotiations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative legal environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active California Bar license (required).

Skills:

• Proficient in legal research and drafting of litigation documents.
• Strong negotiation and case management skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: $95,000 - $125,000 per year, based on experience.
