Trial Attorney

A law firm seeks a skilled and driven Trial Attorney to join its litigation team in San Diego, CA. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an attorney with litigation experience to take on a leading role in trial work while working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will handle all phases of discovery and trial preparation, working with a dynamic team that values innovation and client service.

Duties:

• Handle all phases of litigation, including written discovery, depositions of parties and experts, and trial preparation.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing high-quality legal services and strategic advice.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and briefs.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and mediations.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal staff to develop effective case strategies.
• Continuously seek professional growth while contributing to the firm’s litigation practice.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in litigation with a focus on trial work.
• Extensive experience in all phases of discovery, including depositions and written discovery.
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to foster client relationships.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with a process-driven mindset.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a legal team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing with the California State Bar.

Skills:

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage a high-volume caseload.
