A law firm based in Miami is seeking a highly skilled Immigration or Family Law Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in practicing immigration, personal injury, family law, or crimigration law, with strong communication and analytical skills. The attorney will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, representing clients in court, and providing exceptional legal advice.

 

Job Duties:

  • Conduct legal research to support cases.
  • Draft legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and motions.
  • Provide written analyses of legal issues.
  • Interact with clients to gather information, provide updates on case progress, and address their concerns.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials, and argue motions on behalf of clients.
  • Manage and organize case files, including maintaining documentation, deadlines, and communication with other parties involved in the case.
  • Work closely with partners and senior attorneys to develop legal strategies, prepare for cases, and seek guidance on complex legal issues.
  • Provide legal advice to clients, often under the supervision of more experienced attorneys.
  • Stay informed about changes in the law and participate in continuing legal education to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Successful completion of the bar exam.
  • Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA).
  • Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow the client base.
  • Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required to work with clients, staff members, and senior attorneys.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Experience with immigration court proceedings, including asylum cases and removal proceedings, is highly desirable.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

  • Successful completion of the Bar exam.
  • Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA).

 

Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Experience:

4+ years of experience practicing immigration, personal injury, family law, or crimigration law.
