Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview A respected law firm in Tampa, FL is seeking a qualified Associate Attorney to support its Missouri practice. The role involves handling a substantial volume of cases within the realm of creditor's rights and real estate law, with an emphasis on litigation and client representation in court.

Duties

  • Manage a significant volume of cases in creditor’s rights and real estate law.
  • Represent clients in legal proceedings, including court appearances and some travel.
  • Conduct discovery, and depositions, and manage conflict resolution.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Assist in expanding the firm's presence through proactive business development.
  • Ensure adherence to legal practices and maintain superior client support.

Requirements

  • An active member in good standing of the Missouri State Bar.
  • Licensed or able to secure a license in Missouri federal district and bankruptcy courts.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of litigation experience preferred (newly licensed attorneys will be considered).
  • Familiarity with TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code is preferred.
  • Ability to independently manage casework and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in appellate advocacy is advantageous.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Missouri State Bar.
  • Additional Bar licenses are a plus.
