Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an Entry-Level Immigration Attorney to join its team in Las Vegas, NV. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to gain valuable experience and advance their career in immigration law. The ideal candidate will work alongside a dedicated team of attorneys and legal assistants, managing caseloads and interacting directly with clients while learning and growing within the firm.

Location:

  • Las Vegas, NV

Duties:

  • Explain immigration concepts and provide strategic solutions to clients
  • Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
  • Manage a caseload and ensure all legal matters are handled in a timely and efficient manner
  • Visit and conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at centers
  • Prepare and file immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions
  • Review and adjust immigration applications and packets to ensure accuracy
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on immigration law matters
  • Meet with potential clients for consultations and develop effective immigration strategies
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for court hearings and USCIS interviews
  • Provide legal analysis to identify potential benefits or issues in client cases
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for a range of immigration matters

Requirements:

  • 0-3 years of experience in Immigration Law
  • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to collaborate with associates
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage and progress a caseload efficiently
  • Familiarity with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications
  • Experience with case management software is preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active bar admission (law graduates awaiting bar admission will also be considered)

  • Excellent legal research and analytical abilities
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
