Duties

• Advise clients on legal rights and draft legal documents related to their cases.
• Represent clients at pretrial hearings and provide strategic advice after each hearing.
• Handle court appearances, and trials, draft motions, interview witnesses, and conduct legal research.
• Analyze case outcomes based on legal precedents.
• Manage a diverse workload of cases, ensuring timely progress.
• Conduct legal analysis to identify potential case benefits for clients.
• Gather additional evidence to support client cases or refute prosecution claims.
• Prepare clients for depositions and gather information from witnesses and experts to support case strategy.

Requirements

• Strong interest in criminal defense law demonstrated through law school clinics, internships, or volunteer work.
• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree.
• Active admission to the Bar (candidates awaiting admission will also be considered).
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with team members.
• Experience managing legal cases efficiently.

Education

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Bar admission (open to recent law graduates awaiting admission).
