Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is looking to hire an Associate Attorney for its creditors' rights practice in Hunt Valley, MD. This opportunity will provide the right candidate with exposure to the day-to-day activities within the bankruptcy practice, specifically handling a variety of bankruptcy matters. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, able to manage a heavy workload, and possess keen attention to detail. No prior bankruptcy law experience is required, but candidates should demonstrate a capacity for independent work and have strong interpersonal and analytical abilities.

Duties:

• Review bankruptcy pleadings and claims for filing in the relevant jurisdiction

• Manage routine bankruptcy cases and procedures

• Monitor electronic bankruptcy filings (ECFs)

• Attend bankruptcy hearings regularly

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and Trustees as needed

• Perform additional duties as assigned by senior attorneys

Requirements:

• Ability to prioritize and organize workloads effectively to meet deadlines

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical abilities

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in Virginia or Maryland

Skills:

• Intermediate to advanced computer and office software skills

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities

• Ability to handle large caseloads while maintaining high-quality work
